To prevent warpage and optimize the high-gloss surface of SABIC PP 570P, Jucheng’s engineering team implements precise process profiling:

  • Optimizing Surface Gloss (High Mirror Polishing): To fully exploit PP 570P’s high-gloss potential, Jucheng’s tooling division uses hardened tool steel (such as S136) polished to a high mirror finish. We maintain high mold temperatures (up to 40°C–65°C) for visual parts, ensuring the molten resin replicates the mold surface perfectly.
  • Warpage Control & Shrinkage: This grade exhibits a mold shrinkage of 1.2% to 2.5% depending on wall thickness. Our engineers implement highly uniform wall thicknesses during DFM review and use our 5-axis CNCs to machine balanced cooling channels to prevent uneven cooling and thermal warping.
  • Processing Temperatures: Barrel temperatures are tightly kept between 200°C and 250°C (392°F to 482°F). Adequate pack pressure and slow injection speeds are applied to prevent sink marks on structural rib joints.
  • Pre-Drying: While not strictly necessary due to PP’s hydrophobic nature, we pre-dry at 80°C (176°F) for 1–2 hours if the raw material is exposed to humid storage, preventing surface splay.
